After our Green Cards were approved back in June (yey us!), we knew that we wanted to start looking at houses. As much as we had liked our apartment, we were getting to the stage where we felt very restricted and watched. The dogs had no immediate place to run around together and I did feel a little awkward heading out with them first thing in my pyjamas, because let’s face it…not everyone gets dressed as soon as they wake up! 🙂 In addition to this, renting was just killing us. It’s so expensive to rent and there’s nothing that we get to keep as the end result.
Happy New Year friends!
I hope you all had a great holiday season and are excited about the year ahead!
I’VE NOT BLOGGED SINCE AUGUST!!!
I’ve been present on other social media a little but I’ve just not had the chance to sit down and think about a blog post. A LOT has happened since I last blogged and I feel like life has been a huge whirlwind. I’m ready to take a few deep breaths now and get back to blogging again.
Some of you may have seen an in-progress tutu making photo floating around my Instagram, and I also put it on my Sunday Sevens post. I made the tutus as an accessory to wear to my first 5k! 🙂 I say ‘first’ loosely because I actually did 2 5k’s back when I was 16 & 17, but that’s 10 years ago, so this one was my first recent 5k!

Here it is! Here is my stash! It’s not a huge stash but there’s a good amount of fabric there that needs to be used. I set a couple of fabric related goals for the year; to use my stash and to think carefully about the fabrics that are suitable for certain garments.
