Lighten Up, Y’all – Classic Southern Recipes

I’m still getting used to the cooking styles and tastes that come from the Southern States.  Most things I have loved but some things have just blown my mind because I just never seen them before.  When this Lighten Up, Y’all cookbook by Virginia Wells became available for review on Blogging For Books, I snapped it up quickly!

Welcome to Talented Tuesday No. 17!

We had some awesome posts linked up last week!  I have added projects to my to do list and many recipes to my menus.  I have a lot of projects to catch up with this week.  It seems like I start a bunch of projects all at once and then don’t manage to finish any of them, so that’s what I will be up to this week.  Keep a look out on my blog for sewing, scrapbooking & reviews 🙂

Easy…ish Chicken Potstickers/ Gyoza

Back in Sheffield, we used to go to a number of little sushi restaurants.  I loved the little plates whizzing around the conveyor belt waiting to be snapped up.  Adam has never really liked any fish so he was never a fan of any of the rolls.  He usually ordered chicken katsu and chicken gyoza.  I can’t blame him really; they are both really yummy!

The Paleo Chef – Easy to follow, East to cook & Easy to eat!

I recently joined the Blogging for Books site… you should totally check it out!  Free books in exchange for a review!  I didn’t go for a fiction book to start with as some of the non-fiction books appealed to me more.  There were a couple of craft books but this cook book really stood out to me.  All of my cook books are still back in the UK so I jumped at the opportunity to have one that I could flick through and make notes in!
