Ive had this cookbook from Blogging For Books for a while now & I just haven’t gotten around to reviewing it on the blog yet. I chose to review Country Cooking from a Redneck Kitchen as I’m always interested in the Southern cooking style, especially when it comes to home cooked food & grilling. I initially flicked through it, like every other cookbook I own, and chose a couple of recipes that appealed to me.
Doesn’t that stuffed pork look amazing! These are going to be the next recipes I try from this book but we have actually tried a couple already…I just forgot to take photos! We tried out a recipe for cheddar cheese stuffed burgers. Adam had a go at making these and was successful. 🙂 His burgers resembled pancakes but they did taste amazing! He then also chose to make us a cheeseburger pie. Again, great recipe & the cheese sauce was yummy! I’ll post photos of them both when we make it again!
The book does have a yummy desert section too. I’m looking forward to making the Holiday Whoopies!
I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review.
I admire your interest in Southern cooking, Natalie. How did you come by it? Surely not from living in England!
Oh this does look great, can’t wait to see photos of your makes!
