Sunday Sevens 2018 #3

Hello! A little update on life for you all in the form of Sunday Sevens. Rosie is entertaining herself on her play mat so I’m speedily typing in the hope that she doesn’t get bored soon.

It was Mardi Gras season back in February and it was also reasonably cold for us. We bundled up and headed into town to catch some throws at a parade. Rosie loved watching the lights go by and even caught her own Moonpies. The following day, we nipped down to Fairhope to watch the Mystic Mutts parade…a parade for dogs! It was by far my favorite!

We’ve been working hard on tummy time sessions and we are finally at a stage where Rosie doesn’t scream. Well, she doesn’t scream straight away anyway! The faces she pulls and the noises she makes are just adorable. 🙂

The dogs don’t really come onto our bed any more so when they do get the chance to, they go a little crazy. Spot the Buzz.

They have also been loving some of the sun we’ve been having!

We still can’t believe how generous people have been with things for Rosie. I received a lovely parcel full of handmade knitted cardigans from one of my aunties. She has quite a wardrobe of handmade items now so I may do a blog + video showing them off at some point.

During nap-times, I’ve been whipping up some vendor aprons for a local organization. They were a pleasure to make as the cotton canvas was just so nice to sew. Here is a quick picture I snapped just before the ties were made and attached.

We had a first birthday to attend so that meant a pretty ruffle dress for Rosie. I never thought I would dress her in big dresses but when I saw this one, I just couldn’t resist buying it…and she looked as cute as a button in it!

We took some time together to get out for a family walk last weekend. It was a little windy walking along the bay so we had to cover the pram up but it was still lovely and warm.

  1. Looks like you have had a real mix of weather. Rosie is lucky having such lovely outfits. The Mutts Parade looks fun! Glad the dogs are doing well.Hope you got to celebrate Mothers Day. X

    1. Yes, our weather is crazy at the moment! It’s back to being really cold today and at the weekend it’s forecast to be boiling hot again! I would love to take our dogs to the parade one year but I’m not sure if either of them would entertain it.

    1. Thank you! We are only a few miles away from Mobile, which is where Mardi Gras originally began so there are lots of fun parades around us. Next year we’re hoping to try a big Mobile one but I think it might have been a little too much for us this year!

  2. Short trousers…in March? We’re about to get all togged up to walk the dog, but it’s still scarf and hat weather here. Lovely update, cute Rosie and cheeky pups – love the idea of the dog parade!

Let me know what you think...
