Sunday Sevens 2018 #4

More often than not, my Sunday Sevens posts have been catch-up posts rather than weekly but that’s the great thing…Sunday Sevens doesn’t have to be regular…thankfully!

I’ve found that life is just flying by recently. Rosie turns 6 months this week and our days together have yet to be boring. She is amazing us with how many new things she is learning and what she manages to do. We’ve finally got a little bit of a routine together where we try to get out of the house at least once every day. I’ve found a very good local Mom’s Fitness group where the kids can come along while the parents take part in a class. I park Rosie at the side of the hall and she watches everything that is going on. Occasionally she gets a bit cranky but it’s so relaxed there, I really don’t feel awkward if she does happen to cry.

The dogs are still coping very well with Rosie being around. She is getting more and more curious so I do think that the next few months will be interesting. Maisy tends to leave her alone and sits on the sofa on her own but Buzz wants to be right next to her at all times. I hope she has a good friendship with Buzz and hopefully things won’t change when she can grab and follow him. I’ve managed to catch some really nice photos that will be treasured forever.

Through the fitness classes, I’ve also signed up for a May Fitness challenge where we get points for posting about the meal plans and how many classes we’ve been to. Up to now, I think my partner & I have full points! I’m really enjoying being on a meal plan as it’s opened up a few options for food that I wouldn’t normally pick, especially for snacks. I already feel so much better due to the healthier eating and exercise. This is a layered veggie sandwich and it is one of my favorite lunches. It’s whole grain bread with spinach, avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, cucumber & a balsamic vinaigrette dressing!

Adam’s work has been a little hectic recently so we’ve really tried to make the most of any time off he’s had. We’ve had a few proper day trips with Rosie that have been over half an hour away! One was to the Bellingrath Gardens, which I’ll probably do a separate blog post about at some point. Another was to the beach. Both were a success!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you may have read the occasional post about my use of essential oils. Well, they are quickly becoming part of my everyday life…again, I’ll be sharing more about them at some point! My oily collection is rapidly increasing; lavender, cedar wood & frankincense being my favorites.

Sunday Sevens is a weekly blog series that YOU can join in with at any time!  You can do a post every week or just when you fancy 🙂  Display 7 (or more!) photographs from your week; just to let your readers know what else you get up to between those bigger blog posts.  There’s even an image to grab for your sidebar!
