Goals: September 2015

Even though I was quite late in posting my goals for August, I feel like I made great progress with them and met the majority.

I have really started to make use of the planner I purchased – I’m even starting to decorate it and personalise it more for me.  Some planner pages (search Pinterest) are crazy organised and so pretty.  I’m not sure I’ll ever get there with having themed weeks but mine is definitely organised.  I’m currently using it to plan meals, chores, crafting projects, sewing and blog posts.  I’m officially rubbish at drinking water so I’m trying to record what I drink in the hope that it will make me realise that I’m not drinking enough.  I also find it useful to write down which pen pal letters have been sent & received on certain days too.

Goals: August 2015

Sooooo…it may be over half way through August but I still wanted to update my July goals and talk about a couple for August even though there’s only 11 days left!

Woohoo!  I managed to bake a Victoria sponge – a full cake though not cupcakes – it was gorgeous but I didn’t get a picture. 😦

Poor little Westie cross-stitch hasn’t got any fluffier – I will get it done one day! Honest!

I managed to get all 3 of the below done…even if they did overlap into August.  I didn’t get round to even tracing the pattern for the pedal pushers so I think I’m now going to push them to September.

Sunday Sevens #48

Phew! Just in time for a Sunday post, in the US anyway! Busy week + busy weekend 🙂 This week was Adams’s birthday, my Mum’s birthday and we passed our ‘1 year in the USA’ date. We still can’t believe that we have lived here for a year!

Here’s my week in pictures:

1. I bought a few more books (again!!!)… can you guess my favourite reading genre?!

Sunday Sevens #46

We’ve had a good little week in our corner of the world 🙂 The sale of our house in the UK finally went through so it really has felt like a huge weight has been lifted! Adam ended up having a day off work mid week, which was lovely but really seemed to knock my days about. Anyway, here are my 7 photographs!

1. After a training session last Saturday, we are going back to crate training with Maisy to help with toilet training and separation issues. We are trying to get her to feel comfy in her crate so we are putting her in for her daytime naps. It’s hard because she cries but she has already been so much better in the house and we have left her alone for a few hours without her destroying anything or making a mess! I feel like training is going in the right direction. 🙂

Use the #sundaysevens tag and take a look at the Pinterest board containing all the posts.  Please let me know if I’ve not posted your blog on there or if you have started posting Sunday Sevens blogs …sometimes I don’t get notified of the ping backs to my page!

So, here are seven photographs from my week: 🙂

1. A couple of weeks ago I ordered 4 dresses in the eShakti sale. They arrived this week and these are the ones I’m keeping…one of them was far too short and was certainly not a dress!

Goals: July 2015

Back at the start of June, I set myself a few goals to try and reach within the month. This was after reading a similar post from Handmade by Hannah. I actually really enjoyed having goals/ targets for the month as it spurred me on to complete things a little more than usual. So for July, I’m going to review the goals I set myself in June and set new ones for this month. 🙂 Woohoo to goal setting!

I managed to get the Samantha Hayes book finished just in time for the end of the month! Read the review here.

Two garments were created from vintage patterns. The crossover dress & a sleeveless blouse, which still needs to be blogged about! One of the patterns turned out to be a size 24 and even though I could have redrafted the pattern, I couldn’t really be bothered so I didn’t use it. This has made me want to recycle some of my vintage patterns; the ones that I know I won’t be using due to size. If you fancy any of the ones below, let me know and I can post them out … Sharing is caring 🙂
