Surprise Surprise! Here I am doing a Sunday Sevens post…on a Sunday (well in my half of the world anyway)…the last Sunday Sevens post I wrote was back in August! Crazy! Well, here I am writing another and I’m hoping that they will become a little more regular. I’m really trying with my time management at the moment!
The last ‘homey’ style blog I wrote was about our trip to California. I’ve done quite a bit since then so here’s a few catch up photos. 🙂
Here’s your Maisy & Buzz fix. Still as cute and cheeky as ever!
Just over a month ago I got my sewing machine out and made a little baby quilt for a new baby on our street. I was so excited about sewing again, I forgot to take more photos!
The weather over here has been great. We’ve only had a few cold days over the Winter, just cooler days really. We took advantage of these cooler days for some outdoor activities. We went to a local track so Adam could ride his motocross bike, and we went kayaking. I didn’t realise that it was the time of year when the alligators were waking up though!
I got a new addition to my arm!
I also made my first Coco top – I’m going to blog about it separately!
Today, I’ve made more progress on a second Coco! I hope to finish it tomorrow and take proper photos of them both soon.
Also, I never announced the winner from my Home Sewn giveaway. I only had 3 comments on that post so I put the names into a quick online random generator and Shermeen won! I’ll be in touch soon 😀
To end the blog, I’m going to leave links to my Twitter and Instagram. I’m over on Instagram the most so head on over if you haven’t already. Also, I’m only running one Twitter account now for everything, before I had a separate blog Twitter. The @threads_bobbins one is the only one I’m on now!
Please let me know if you’ve started doing Sunday Sevens posts recently too! I’ve tried to keep up with following most of you, but let me know if I haven’t yet 🙂
Sunday Sevens is a weekly blog series that YOU can join in with at any time! You can do a post every week or just when you fancy 🙂 Display 7 photographs from your week; just to let your readers know what else you get up to between those bigger blog posts. There’s even an image to grab for your sidebar!
Use the #sundaysevens tag and take a look at the Pinterest board containing all the posts. Please let me know if I’ve not posted your blog on there or if you have started posting Sunday Sevens blogs …sometimes I don’t get notified of the ping backs to my page!
Lovely that you’re back with your Sunday Sevens!!
That alligator looks a bit big and scary. I think I’d been turning round sharpish and heading back in!! 😳
The dogs are looking as cute as ever but I can’t say the same for the alligator, I suppose that’s one view to make you paddle faster to get away!! 😃
Oh good to see you back in the world of blogging. And yay for having time to sew again, that fabric for the quilt is lovely.
Ah good to see you ….and the doggies back. Were you scared when you saw the alligator? I think i would cry….despite my love of nature. 🙂
Nice to have you back on Sunday Sevens- we’ve been keeping it warm in your absence! There’s no way you’d see my backside for dust with an Alligator that close. It makes me realise how lucky we are in the UK with no dangerous wildlife whatsoever. Back to sewing too? Lovely little quilt for your neighbour. I’m not a fan of tattoos (even though I have one on my hip – drunken moment in Monte Carlo!) , although I can appreciate them as art and you’re obviously very pleased with it!
Oh your little chappies are adorable (goodness, almost slipped up there, the spell check altered the chappies to something completely different!)
What a great place you live in, sounds wonderful to have such sunny warm weather, although I an sooooo grateful that our rivers don’t come with crocodiles! Our country is so benevolent, I think the worst thing we have is an adder and they are rarer than hens teeth.
So thrilled to read your blog again, life does get busy! that quilt is beautiful what gorgeous fabrics!
Lovely to see you back at Sunday Sevens. The peek of teh coco lots great and alwyas wonderful; to see Buzz and Maisie 🙂
So sorry it’s taken me so long to read this! I seem to be so busy actually blogging these days my time for reading blogs has gone out of the window! Lovely to se Buzz & Maisie again 😊
