Sunday Sevens #95

Would you look at this! I’ve managed to get another seven photos this week for a Sunday Sevens blog. :-).

1. It seems like we are visiting our favorite breakfast place quite often now, which I don’t mind at all. It does make me laugh though that we have to specifically request some milk with our English Breakfast tea. The girls behind the counter think it’s quite odd every time we ask!

Review: Hello Fresh

During my first trimester I lacked a lot of motivation to do anything when I got home from work.  I didn’t have any sickness at all but had a lot of dizzy spells and felt exhausted.  When I would get home from work, I would spend the night on the sofa.  I did a lot of ‘planning’ for our evening meals but they never came to fruition!  We decided to give a meal delivery service a try; something that would be easy for us to make with minimal effort.

We had a lot of options to choose from but we decided to go with Hello Fresh as we had the $35 discount code.  This meant our first box would only be $25 for 3 meals.  An excellent starting price.  We were very impressed from the moment we were choosing our meals online.  They give you 8 meal options each week.  You can opt for the company to choose your meals or you can edit your box and choose what you would like.  With Adam only eating certain food, we chose our own meals!  We picked our delivery date and were excited for our box to arrive.

Two Cocos…better late than never!

Finally a sewing blog and an overdue one at that!  For Christmas, Camilla bought me the Coco & Bettine patterns.  I had resisted buying them for myself for so long and I really don’t know why, especially now I’ve made them and LOVE them!  This blog post is slightly overdue as I made the first Coco top back in February and my finished my second one in June.

I don’t have a lot of experience with knit fabrics so I was a little apprehensive.  The pattern instructions were so easy to work through and the color pictures made an excellent addition.Untitled

Sunday Sevens #94

1.  We had a lovely sunny day a couple of weeks ago so we headed down to Gulf Shores.  There’s a collection of bars called ‘FloraBama’ on the Florida & Alabama state line where we like to hang out & eat.  We got a table outside, in the shade and under a fan. It was very relaxing to just sit and watch the world go by.

The Making of Harry Potter: Warner Bros Studio Tours

When we were in the UK, we had a couple of days to ourselves in London.  In addition to some city centre sightseeing, we knew that we wanted to do the tour of the Harry Potter Studios.  We had an amazing time there so I wanted to be sure to write a blog to share a few things with you.  I always find it helpful to read about other people’s experiences, especially at busy tourist venues, so I’m fully prepared to have an enjoyable day.

I did make sure to book our tickets in advance (£46.50 each for the complete studio tour package), and I’m quite glad that I did as some of the days we wanted to go were actually booked up already.  We ended up getting a date but our entry time wasn’t until 4pm.  We didn’t mind this too much as it did give us the day to do other things too.  The website recommends that you allocate around 3 hours for the tour, and that you plan to arrive a little earlier.

Sunday Sevens #93 – Another Catch Up!

Time for another Sunday Sevens catch up! Every Sunday I’ve almost sat down to blog again but just not quite got there. Well, today is the day! It’s raining (again!) outside so it’s the perfect time for me to get writing. 🙂

1. We are officially in hurricane season here in Alabama, which means we are getting a lot of rain at the moment and a few thunderstorms. Thankfully, we haven’t had anything major come through our area. We had some big rumbles of thunder during one storm. They shook our walls and one of pictures fell off the wall! Buzz was the first to investigate.
