Review: What You Left Behind by Samantha Hayes

This book by Samantha Hayes and is my most recent pick from Blogging For Books.  What You Left Behnd is a crime thriller book, which is one of my favourite genres.  I have had the book for a while now and I must admit that it took me a good few chapters to get interested in the storyline.  But, once I was hooked, I could not put it down and read the rest of the book quickly!

Setting Goals for June 2015

I’ve seen a couple of goal blog posts before, mainly over on Handmade By Hannah, and I always feel very inspired after reading them.  There’s something about writing things down and almost being accountable for them…even if it is only in the blogging world!

So here are my goals for June 2015!  I will review the goals at the start of July and set some more. 🙂

Do you set goals for yourself?  Do you write them down anywhere? It would be great to hear what you think to my goals…hopefully they are achievable!

1.  I started this Westie cross-stitch ages ago.  I got this from my Grandma for my birthday in December and I feel like it should be done by now as it is very small!  I need to get it finished & framed by the end of June!

I’ve never really been able to draw.  I can copy images quite well if they are in front of me but my freestyle drawing is quite honestly pants!  Proportion is my biggest problem.  People will have one leg bigger than the other, animals won’t have the right sized bodies and buildings are always a little bit on the wonky side.  However, I do really enjoy drawing.  I’ve always wanted to take a sketch book and some pencils, sit on a bench overlooking a gorgeous landscape and draw away for hours.  I’ve got the sketch book and pencils but I haven’t made it out of the door with them yet!

Sunday Sevens #21

This is a bit of a late one today…it is still Sunday in the USA though! I really can’t believe it is February today! Already!! This week has been a strange one as things have been quiet on the paperwork/ sorting side of things. Visa paperwork has been submitted and we just have to wait. Our UK house is on the market so we just have to wait for viewings. We have also sorted the container to ship our belongings over the the US; we just have to wait for them. I don’t like waiting. I like to be in control of everything and I can’t control any of these things. It has actually been nice to just catch up with a few things this week!

1. On Sunday, we visited an antique store on the other side of the bay. It has always intrigued me as it is called “Alice’s Wonderland”! What a great name! They had some gorgeous stuff in but I held back and only purchased a couple of vintage Hoover Dam postcards. I am building my collection of vintage PC’s, mainly of places we have visited.
