It really does feel like such a long time since I last wrote a Sunday Sevens post but I’m starting the year as I plan to go on. Today’s post is a little bit of a catch up of little things from the last couple of months and in true tradition, it’s a day late!
It was my birthday back in December and Adam bought me a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I’d been eyeing one up for a while and had heard a lot of great things about them. I’ve had a basic mixer for a while but as it was one from the UK, the voltage was different so it didn’t mix very well. I was very pleased to get this and it’s made baking so much quicker!
While we were in the hospital when Rosie was born, Maisy & Buzz went to our local dog ranch to board for a few days. We followed all the recommendations with introducing a new baby into the family. Maisy was very uninterested but Buzz was overly interested and it worried us quite a lot. It took a while and he still isn’t perfect but he has improved so much. He very much loves his morning cuddles with us both and wants to kiss Rosie at every opportunity possible.
The dogs made us laugh over Christmas as they loved to slide under the tree to scratch their backs. Here’s Maisy! 🙂
The next town along from us, Fairhope, has beautiful Christmas lights all along the streets. We try to capture a photo every year.
I’ve been working on a jigsaw puzzle since mid-December. It did get put away over Christmas so this week I’ve taken it back out and made some good progress on it.
And to finish, a photo of Rosie. My Mum gave me the suit that I went home from the hospital in when I was born. I almost forgot about it but we managed to squeeze Rosie into it to get a few photos. She looks like a little wrestler in it!
Sunday Sevens is a weekly blog series that YOU can join in with at any time! You can do a post every week or just when you fancy 🙂 Display 7 photographs from your week; just to let your readers know what else you get up to between those bigger blog posts. There’s even an image to grab for your sidebar!

I had a “surprise” baby at 47! (his birth sibs were 28, 25 and 23 when he was born- LOL!) He’s turning 14 this month! Oh the JOY of babies! (he’s still my baby- towering over me now :o)
Wow! I just can’t imagine her growing up already…I’m already missing her being a teeny tiny newborn!
She is just gorgeous.
Thank you!
Aw so lovely that Rosie wore your clothes! I can’t imagine my mum has saved any of mine.
