Goals: February 2016

Despite having a few lazy days in January, I feel like I’ve actually had a productive month.  My goals were met with ‘mostly’ success AND I’ve also managed to work out at least 3 times each week, which wasn’t on my original plan for January!

Let’s have a look at the goals I set in January:

I FINISHED THE WESTIE CROSS STITCH! WOOOOOHOOOO!!!  Now I just need to decide what to do with it. 🙂
I also finished the vintage dress, repaired the doggy car seat and attempted the crate mat covers….that still counts, right?! The only thing I didn’t manage was the quilters coasters for our living room.
Finished All The Light We Cannot See and I’m half way through The Man In The High Castle.
We worked really hard on saving money in January and I feel like we’ve made a great start to the year. We didn’t even splurge on Amazon.:-)
I managed at least 2 dog walks everyday, not three everyday but I’m happy with what I did manage with them.
I didn’t start the crochet blanket at all – the only one of my goals that I didn’t meet!

Sunday Sevens #73

I’m sat writing this post, thinking about how busy I’ve been this week with one thing and another…and I didn’t take any photos of the exciting bits. Hhhmmpphh! Anyway, I’ve still managed to fumble seven photos together for you!

1. I made a Breakfast Bonanza in the slow cooker but forgot to do it the night before so we had it for our dinner instead 🙂

First Make Of 2016 – Frances Dress

Back in December, Camilla sent me a lovely little parcel for my birthday.  It contained the Green Bee Frances dress pattern and some gorgeous Denyse Schmidt fabric.  Due to having visitors over Christmas, I hardly got any sewing done at all so once my parents had gone home, I was itching to get something made up – I knew this would be the pattern to make up first!

Sunday Sevens #72

My my, have you seen all that snow on the East coast of the US?! Luckily we just had the wind and rain from that storm but my thoughts definitely go out to all the people who are stuck in their homes for a while!

It’s turned really cold for us this week though…I’ve even had to put the heating on! I finally feel like we are back to our normal routine this week, and I’ve actually managed to get quite a bit done around the house & with ongoing projects too.

Here are my seven photographs from this week – mainly doggy photos!

1/2. Maisy and Buzz have started to be even closer to each other this week. Buzz really made me giggle with the way he was laying on the sofa so I had to take a photo!
