Goals: November Went, So Here’s To December 2015

If I’m totally honest, my Sunday Sevens posts have been the only posts that have kept this blog current for over a month.  I’ve just had a bit of a blogging break, and I’m not really sure why!  I think with all the other things that have been happening with projects & parents, I just haven’t really had the time to sit down and blog that much.  This meant that I completely missed my goals post for November and I also didn’t get the chance to review the goals that I had set for October.   This post is a bit of a catch up to keep you (& me!) updated with what I’ve actually been doing.  And of course, new goals will be set!

In my October post, I spoke about all of the bedding that we had shipped across with all of our stuff. Well, it turns out that all of our bedding is actually shorter lengthwise than the duvet size we buy over here.  I altered 2 sets and then realised this!  They’ve gone back into storage now and will be brought out again when I the time to properly search for an inexpensive duvet.

Even though it isn’t quite finished yet, I’ve worked loads on the little Westie cross-stitch and I think I only have 2 more colours to stitch now!  I did hope to have it completed in time for a local stitching meetup but it just didn’t get done. 😦

Review: Q&A a Day for Creatives: A 4-Year Journal by Potter Style

Some months ago, I saw a book being blogged about that was a journal for a year, and each day had its own suggestive sentence that you completed.  I enjoyed the style of the book and thought it was a nice idea to have a different type of diary that you could look back on to see what thoughts you were having on a particular day.  I searched for the book and placed it on my Amazon wish list.

When I finally got around to choosing my next review book from Blogging For Books, I noticed a very similar book to the one I had seen before…only it was better and much more suited to someone like myself!

Sunday Sevens #64/65

Phew, how fast have the last couple of weeks gone?! My post last week was MIA due to being busy again and then I completely forgot to do it on Monday and Tuesday, so I moved it forward to a double post today! We are just settling back into our normal routine after Adam’s parents went home on Tuesday. I’m not holding onto the routine part too much though as my parents arrive in a couple of weeks! Anyhow, here are a few photos from the last couple of weeks:

1. Maisy loved having a run on our local bay beach. She also loved rolling in the sand and sea foam…YUK!!

Sunday Sevens #63

This week’s Sunday Sevens is a little different for me as I’ve decided to share 7 photos from our short trip to the Smoky Mountains.  It was a trip to celebrate Adam’s Mum’s 60th birthday and it was certainly one to remember.  Adam and I have already decided that we will be going back. 🙂

1. Our cabin had 2 bedrooms, both with a jacuzzi tub in the room! Very swish 🙂

Sunday (Monday/Tuesday??) Sevens #62

Well, I’m very late to the party with my Sunday Sevens for this week! We have just got in after collecting Adam’s parents from the airport so the last couple of days have been busy, busy, busy!! I apologise in advance for any comments, replies or Pinterest pins that may be late 🙂

Here are my seven photos from last week:

1/2. Target has up’ed their game with their dollar spot area. It was so much easier to find nice things when I visited this week; I couldn’t resist these doggy jumpers for $3 each! As you can see, Maisy is still working out whether or not she likes to wear them.
