Phew! Just in time for a Sunday post, in the US anyway! Busy week + busy weekend 🙂 This week was Adams’s birthday, my Mum’s birthday and we passed our ‘1 year in the USA’ date. We still can’t believe that we have lived here for a year!
Here’s my week in pictures:
1. I bought a few more books (again!!!)… can you guess my favourite reading genre?!
2. I spent the morning sorting our closet out. Any clothes that were too big or too small got put into storage. I feel very organised now. 🙂
3. Continuing with the organisation, I did a huge pile of ironing…it was piled high out of the basket below. Maisy thought it was the perfect place to bury a treat once she could get into the pile.
4. I bought the Sew Independent pattern bundle; a great number of patterns with a good discount! I went onto tracing a pattern straight away.
5. I finished my first make of the week.
6. Camilla rescued me from a disaster…I ran out of tea bags so she sent more supplies! Yorkshire Tea is like gold dust!
7. Another make finished but I made a huge mistake and realised far too late. It will be blogged about and you will laugh.

Love your blog and the ‘Sunday Sevens’. I am an absolute beginner when it comes to sewing. But I had to comment on this post because of the Yorkshire Tea. I am also from the UK but based in the Middle East at the moment. We have been here 3 years and finding decent teabags has been an ongoing problem since we arrived. We also drink Yorkshire tea and we ask anyone that comes to visit to bring vast quantities with them. What a lovely cup of tea the Yorkshire tea produces 😊. Apologies for going off topic but it’s nice to know I’m not on my own when it comes to teabags.
Haha your comment made me smile…I’m glad I’m not on my own too! Our parents came over at Christmas and brought loads with them…I can’t believe I’ve used them all already! I didn’t think I drank that much tea…obviously I do! Ha! Thanks for stopping by to comment 🙂

I’m with you on the Yorkshire tea too!! I’ve run out and him indoors (in the UK) brought Tetleys on the last visit, which is better than the weak stuff the Canadians drink. Other problem is I’m used to the soft water of North Wales, and the water in Calgary is really hard – makes tea taste wrong!!!
I’m still umming and ahhing about the Indie pattern bundle… Not sure how many I’d actually make as I’m into separates over dresses at the mo. I feel I must try the Ultimate trousers (blogging peer pressure) and I actually really like the look of the blouson, maybe as a quilted jacket. Hmmm…..
Out of everything, I think it’s the tea that I miss the most! Haha!

Oh, Yorkshire tea is my favorite. I order it on a subscription from Amazon and everything 3 months I get more!! I love that fabric of your first make — looking forward to seeing it blogged.

Yorkshire tea is an essential in our house, too; partner can’t function without it! I’m on an organization and clearing out kick as well–maybe it’s the change in seasons? Looking forward to seeing your new projects; your fabrics look so pretty in the pictures. Hopefully the mistake was fixable. 😉
It’s certainly proving itself to be a popular tea…so why don’t they sell it in our local stores?! Ha! Mistake wasn’t fixable but I’ve found a solution so the garment isn’t wasted!

It sure is yummy! By far my favourite! I made the Bonnell dress…it’s a lovely make but I need to adjust it quite a bit before it fits properly 🙂
How many dresses?! I don’t feel so bad now, and will show your photo to my hubby so he realises I don’t have a problem and its normal to have so many! 😀
I do have a LOT of dresses! This was after all of my ‘posh’ dresses had been taken out too…maybe you should make/buy more to keep up 😀

I’ve just had a look at the patterns Joyce and it seems that they aren’t available anymore in that bundle! It must have been a short time bundle offer 🙂
