Sunday Sevens #52 – Happy 1 Year Anniversary **GIVEAWAY CLOSED**

So here we are! One year in! ONE WHOLE YEAR OF SUNDAY SEVENS BLOG POSTS! I can’t actually believe that we’ve reached this far…I actually thought that I would give up half way through but I enjoy posting Sunday Sevens so much…how could I possibly stop posting?!

52 weeks ago Sunday Sevens began. A little blog series where I shared 7 photographs from my week and invited other bloggers to join me. Now one year on, I want to say a HUGE thank you to all who have joined in with Sunday Sevens. Many bloggers have joined in with posting their own Sunday Sevens; some every week, some for part of the year & some whenever they can. It has been an absolute pleasure to read about what people get up to in the week and it has been great to make some blogging buddies along the way. So to everyone who has been a part of Sunday Sevens, whether blogging, reading or commenting – THANK YOU!

30 Days Of Sewing With Art Gallery Fabrics: The Bonnell Dress

Last month I was invited to be involved in 30 Days Of Sewing With Art Gallery Fabrics – to say I was excited is an understatement!  Throughout the month of September, they will be sharing beautiful projects that have been made with their beautiful range of fabrics.

I chose to make the Bonnell dress from DixieDIY: a gathered skirt dress with triangular cut outs on the bodice.  I had a really hard time choosing fabrics because all the new collections are just gorgeous! The one that jumped out at me the most was the Anna Elise collection by Bari.J.  The look book for this collection is just adorable!  After narrowing it down to this collection, I chose the Wind Melody Carmin for the main fabric and the Rythmic Hatch Vivid for the dress lining – both cotton.

Mum’s Knitting Needle Case

When I started sewing more regularly (last August!) my Mum mentioned that she would like a knitting needle case as she couldn’t find one that matched the style she wanted.  My original thought was to make one for Christmas but I forgot and then by the time I remembered, I hadn’t got enough time.  So I set out to make one in July for her birthday – August 6th.

I had a good look around online to get some ideas for the one I wanted to make.  I wanted the make to be ‘fairly’ simple but also pretty and useful.  By combining a few ideas, I chose to make a roll with three horizontal sections for different sized needles.  I also want to add a bit of extra detail so I decided to quilt the outer piece of fabric.

Sunday Sevens #51

Here we are, week 51…we’ve almost made it to a full year of Sunday Sevens posts. I’ve been a busy busy bee this week, mainly with cooking & sewing. I’ve also been planning a special little something for our 1 year anniversary of Sunday Sevens NEXT WEEK!! Make sure to pop back next Sunday as I may have an exciting little post for you! :-0

In the meantime, here are 7 photographs from my week:

1. Started off the week with a chicken pasta salad. Homemade dressing too! It was lovely & was good for lunches for a couple of days too. Fussy Adam didn’t like it and only ate the chicken and pasta. Hhhhmmm!

Sunday Sevens #50

For once, I’m doing an early post! I’m planning on being super productive today, so thought I would get Sunday Sevens done and dusted early 🙂 Enjoy!

1. We dog sat for a couple of days at the start of the week. It was lovely for Maisy to have a play friend and a garden to run around in. Sophie dog was really well behaved too!
