Here we are, week 51…we’ve almost made it to a full year of Sunday Sevens posts. I’ve been a busy busy bee this week, mainly with cooking & sewing. I’ve also been planning a special little something for our 1 year anniversary of Sunday Sevens NEXT WEEK!! Make sure to pop back next Sunday as I may have an exciting little post for you! :-0
In the meantime, here are 7 photographs from my week:
1. Started off the week with a chicken pasta salad. Homemade dressing too! It was lovely & was good for lunches for a couple of days too. Fussy Adam didn’t like it and only ate the chicken and pasta. Hhhhmmm!
2 & 3. After making my first Bonnell dress a couple of weeks ago, I spent this week perfecting the pattern and made 2 more wearable muslins. The ‘final’ dress is for a special little project I’m involved in which will go live on Friday 5th September. ๐ ย I’ll be blogging about the muslins too shortly.
4. We had a poorly pup again this week. After doing a few things that weren’t really normal, I nipped Maisy up to the vet and it looks like she has a urinary tract infection. She is picking up now she’s had a few antibiotics but was super sleepy for a couple of days. She wouldn’t even get out of bed one morning ๐ฆ
5. We tried cocoa crusted steaks for dinner one night – they were gorgeous even though we were unsure of what they would taste like!
6. I finished off some handmade postcards to send out.
7. Along with some fabric Artist Trading Cards. ๐

Coco crusted steaks — hmmm, we’ve done coffee crusted but I’ll have to try coco.
I wasn’t sure what to expect at all really but they were really nice! Cocoa powder, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, salt & pepper ๐ Yum!
I am loving your postcards and trading cards–so very cool! Did you do a post on those and I missed it? Poor Maisy; I’m glad she’s starting to perk up a little. Infections are yucky. ๐ฆ
Thank you ๐ I haven’t done a post on then but may put something together soon!
What a lovely week. Your dresses look really pretty. Love the postcards too. Poor Maisy I hope she is getting better.
Thanks! Maisy has picked up a lot since last week; hoping the infection gets sorted and stays away now!
Love the shot of Masie in bed, hope she’s feeling back to normal soon. Those dresses look great,, will look forward to seeing them in their full glory…
She’s feeling much better now thankfully- she does know how to feel sorry for herself though! Dress posts will be coming over the next week or 2 so keep a look out ๐
Sorry to hear Maisy’s been unwell, but good to hear she’s getting better. Please give her a hug from me and a snuggle from Mr Hicks.
Hugs & snuggles given ๐ she seems to be much better today! Hopefully the infection stays away now ๐
Your postcards and trading cards are really nice. I hope your pup is feeling better now. I think I would enjoy the steaks but, not my husband. It really sounds interesting.
Thank you! Adam turned his nose up to start with as he doesn’t like a couple of the ingredients in the rub, but I made them anyway and he really liked it ๐
Poor little Maisy, but happy that she is perking up a bit. Really love that orange and blue dress – looking forward to seeing the unveiling. And what pretty postcards you make, lovely to receive a handcrafted card!
Aw poor Maisie ๐ uti’s make adults feel proper terrible so must be hard for dogs as they don’t know what’s happening. Your foodie shots are making me hungry, I’m trying to be good!
I’ve loved reading about your Bonnells this week, they have all been beautiful and the finish on them looks immaculate. I can’t wait to read the full blog post and see more pictures of you wearing them out.
I’m also amazed by your art work! So beautiful! I bet you are looking forward to sending them out and seeing what you get in return.
Poor Maisy – I haven’t done well at checking how she is I know ๐ is she feeling better now? Has she finished her medicine?
