I’m sat writing this post, thinking about how busy I’ve been this week with one thing and another…and I didn’t take any photos of the exciting bits. Hhhmmpphh! Anyway, I’ve still managed to fumble seven photos together for you!
1. I made a Breakfast Bonanza in the slow cooker but forgot to do it the night before so we had it for our dinner instead 🙂

My my, have you seen all that snow on the East coast of the US?! Luckily we just had the wind and rain from that storm but my thoughts definitely go out to all the people who are stuck in their homes for a while!
It’s turned really cold for us this week though…I’ve even had to put the heating on! I finally feel like we are back to our normal routine this week, and I’ve actually managed to get quite a bit done around the house & with ongoing projects too.

1/2. Maisy and Buzz have started to be even closer to each other this week. Buzz really made me giggle with the way he was laying on the sofa so I had to take a photo!

I sat down last week to review the goals that I set for myself in December and realised that even though I only set four small goals, I was probably a little ambitious given the Christmas season, my parents coming to stay, us taking a holiday & getting a new puppy! Â With that being said, this post is quite a short one as I didn’t really make that much progress on the goals set in December!
Goals for January:
2. Â The vintage dress didn’t get finished in December so that remains on my list of makes. Â I also need to repair a doggy car seat, make covers for dog crate mats & make some coasters for our living room using the fabric I received in my #stitchingsanta present.

Christmas done! New Year done! Parents home!…and relax! 🙂 As much as I love having visitors and celebrating over the holidays, it isn’t half tiring! My parents went home yesterday after their 3 week stay so we have had a very relaxed weekend and now we will settle back into our little routine. I should imagine that there will now be more sewing craft photographs back in my future Sunday Sevens posts. Here are my photos from the last week! 🙂

A new year means a ‘new year’ post of course. Â I’ve already read lots of resolution, goal & list posts and I must admit that I really enjoy reading them. Â I find it so interesting to see how people evaluate their lives and review them to move forward in the following year.
The last year was the first full year where I blogged from January to December.  I’ve really loved every minute of it.  When I started blogging, I originally thought that my blog would be based on sewing and travelling; however, i’ve found that my Sunday Sevens and monthly goals posts have added more of a broader lifestyle theme to the blog with sewing running through too.  I’ve also enjoyed reviewing a few products here and there, and I do feel like I’ve only chosen things to review that I like rather than whatever is available out there.

There we go…didn’t it go quickly! Only another 11 months until the festivities begin again 😀 I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and enjoyed it spending with your family and friends.
As this post goes live, Adam and I are actually living it up in Las Vegas celebrating our first wedding anniversary! I’m hoping that all the photographs appear nicely and the rest of the post is in order…if not…tough…I don’t get back home until Tuesday! 🙂
1. We have been well and truly stuffed this week with all the food we’ve eaten!  Isn’t that what the run up to Christmas is about though?!  Here we are at our local bar – can you tell which one of us has had a drink…or 2?
